The Truth About Gender & Sexuality – Part 1

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the 57th chapter of your favorite podcast, opened a 3- part series titled “The Truth About Gender and Sexuality.” For the first session, we re-presented the Truth from the Word of God by unequivocally stating that there are only two Genders as pre-determined by our Sovereign God, Male and Female. Within those sovereign distinctions, we detailed Gender roles for the Man and Woman as defined by scripture. We also looked at our sexuality and how that is expressed sovereignly through our Gender, while also shining light on what the enemy of our souls represents to the world through his definition of gender and sexuality, and the perversion he uses in his attempts to deceive humanity.

TSV friends this episode, as with all our episodes (by His grace), bears the same charge that we see in 2 Peter 3:1-2 NIV:

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. 2 I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

We have a mandate from God to preach and teach the truth about our Gender and Sexuality, and not the worlds definition of it. All men and women are created in the image of God, but not all are his children. For that to occur, one must receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. That said, because of the image of God we are all made in, the enemy of our souls attacks that image in his attempts to convince you that you have a choice concerning your Gender and how your gender is expressed sexually. He uses the abominations of homosexuality and transgenderism to snare your soul. He attempts to present to you the lie that gender is fluid and that you can express your sexuality in whatever manner you decide.

Synopsis

During this first of our three conversations on the “Truth about Gender and Sexuality”, Gender and Sexuality. We did that by re-presenting the eternal verity that God created two Genders when he created Man, Male and Female. As an additional part of that re- presenting, it is clear in scripture that all men and women, regardless of their standing with their creator, are subject to the Gender roles and prescribed sexual expressions in relation to our gender.

These sovereign distinctions aren’t a fluid enterprise in the sense that one can change it to fit their fleshly desires. Sowing to the flesh will reap the flesh, which signifies death. Sowing to the Spirit will reap the Spirit, which signifies life. As believers in Jesus Christ, we must be able to identify where the enemy is attacking and use the scriptural weapons we have in scripture to reposition the narrative back to the Truth. The Word of God is Truth dear friends.

The Truth concerning our Gender and Sexuality as determined by our Sovereign God is infallible, regardless of the incessant attacks against the image of God that the enemy of our souls uses, the perversions of homosexuality and transgenderism. This first conversation on the Truth about Gender and Sexuality is the start of our continued mandate to speak the eternal verity that is the Word of God, in love.
