Episode 63

The Saving of The Soul

“The Saving of our Soul” is an introspective view of one of the three parts of our whole being. This inward look into one of those parts, our souls, was the central posture in Episode 63 of your favorite Podcast. Sozo and the Reverend were not aware of Holy Spirit’s leading of them to take turns, if you will, in leading a message on salvation of our whole beings, Spirit, Soul, and Body, but they obeyed the voice of the Spirit with joy during today’s communion.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 KJV states:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”

As sons and daughters of the most High God, our whole beings have the capacity to be preserved blameless because of our belief and confession of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Our Spirits are instantly saved from the wrath to come at our conversion, but what about our souls? Being believers, our souls are now in the proper position to be rebuilt, renewed, and reconstructed in the Truth that is God’s word. Our prosperous souls will allow us to think, speak and do what is mandated us by our sovereign God. Without this saving, this soul renewal, you will think like the world, speak like the world, and act like the world. In short, although your whole being is in the proper position to be preserved blameless, you have not made the willful choice to participate in the saving of your soul, evidenced by the renewing of your mind, and you will reap the consequences of this hubris choice.

A part of our soul salvation is our guarding our hearts. We do that, in part, by keeping watch over the entry points into our souls, the eye and ear gates. What we see and hear enters our minds, which filters into our hearts. Our minds and hearts are housed in our souls. The Word of God discerns the connector of our souls and spirits, our hearts.

Hebrews 4:12 KJV says:

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Friends, as you engage with the hosts of your favorite podcast today, listen for the Spirit of God. He is the one that conducts your soul salvation, evidenced by the renewing of your mind, and is leading you to make the humble choice to participate in what he has committed to do for those that believe in Jesus Christ. Take a look at these scriptures to ratify that verity:

Ephesians 4:22-24 NLT says:

“throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.”

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. My friends, let Holy Spirit do it!

Synopsis

As believers in Jesus Christ, Our Spirits, our Souls, and our Bodies are properly positioned to be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Just like our Spirits, our souls and bodies need atonement for this preservation. This is evidenced, in part, by our continuing in the faith and the renewing of the mind, led by the Spirit of God. This blameless state only manifests because of God’s call to you by his Spirit. A prospering soul will produce a sound, healthy body. Why? Because you will speak what the Spirit of Truth says about your body and not what the World or even your doctor says. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he. The latter part of Matthew 12:34 says “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh”. What you speak indicates the health of your soul and the posture of your heart. Friends, guard your eyes, guard your ears, guard your heart with all diligence, and put a watch over your mouth. These willful actions by you will demonstrate your soul salvation and position you to be used by our God for Kingdom work in the Spirit and Natural realms.
