Synopsis
TSV family! The Kingdom of God, as found in the Bible, refers to the sovereign and universal reign of our eternal King over the universe. This Verity can be found in the divinely orchestrated narrative, traced through the pages of the Bible, and has been unfolding within history, from Adam to Jesus Christ and beyond.
“The LORD has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” ~ Psalms 103:19, NKJV.
“God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.” ~ Psalms 47:8, NKJV.
Also, the kingdom of God is manifested in the Person of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and He is the only one who grants access to those who will inherit the Kingdom of God.
“Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” ~ Luke 17:20-21, NIV.
“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” ~ Matthew 25:34, NKJV.
As blood-bought, Spirit-filled followers of Jesus Christ, we are eligible to receive this inheritance and dwell within the Kingdom of our sovereign God. We do so by obeying His Word, performing works of righteousness led by His indwelling Spirit, and enduring till the end.
“and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together” ~ Romans 8:17, NKJV.
“So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” ~ Matthew 19:28, NKJV.
TSV family! When we dwell in the Kingdom of God through the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, we have the power to fulfill His will and purpose for our lives bringing glory to His name.
