EPSIODE 47
Sin, Transgression and Iniquity
Chapter 47 was another end time message presented by the Hosts of your favorite Podcast, by direction of Holy Spirit. Sin, transgression and Iniquity was the topic of discussion for the TSV community. When having any dialogue concerning Sin, transgression and Iniquity, you must understand, TSV family, that Jesus has already delivered us from this.
He was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities. These 3 death cycle categories are often confused and used interchangeably by believers; however, each position has different connotations and effects on our lives. Operating in any of these positions is a choice.
Summary
TSV community, please use the preceding as the filter through which you listen to our latest chapter, as directed to you by Holy Spirit.
In this episode…
— Define sin, transgression and iniquity and identify one example each in the body of Christ that must be rooted out? [12:42]
- As we opened the show, we established the definition, rooted in scripture, of sin, transgression and iniquity. 1 John 2:2 says: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. The propitiation here is Christ’s atoning sacrifice for the sins of humanity. He that knew no sin, became sin for us. So even with the old sin nature from Adam, we still have to make a conscious choice to sin. Our Spirits have been reborn. Focusing on the latter part of the question, traditions of men is a sin in the church. Not yielding to the direction of the Shepherd in your church, the Man Of God, is a transgression. An example of iniquity in the church is displayed when a minister continues to lead his flock every Sunday when he has hatred in his heart against a brother or sister in Christ that doesn’t have the same skin color as he does. TSV community, lend your spiritual ear to our opening segment and allow Holy Spirit to direct you as you nourish yourself with God’s verity.
— Who are the workers of iniquity? Why are they called that? [38:08]
- The middle portion of our conversation answered a vital question for a believer who is looking to keep himself, or herself, out of this hubris place. Workers of iniquity are fools. This is the posture of their darkened heart. They are those who have form a of Godliness, looking Godly to others but are living in deception. They have the gifts of God, which are given without repentance, but they don’t have the presence of God in their lives, so it consumes them unto death. They know God but they don’t acknowledge him as God, so being wise they became fools. They are not a true believer or true worshiper of Jesus Christ. They are called workers of iniquity because they have chosen this path. They have the gifts of God, which are without repentance, but don’t have his presence, his Spirit. Considering that, they are consumed by the gifts. The 2nd portion of our conversation spoke to who the Workers of Iniquity are.
- Where do you land TSV community?
— List 3 ways from scripture we can stop iniquity from rooting into our hearts. [53:03]
- In our last segment we listed 3 ways to stop iniquity from binding our hearts to an iniquitous place. More particularly, we must immerse ourselves in the Word of God as the beginning of our preparation to quash iniquity from taking root in our hearts. To unpack the 2nd and 3rd ways we keep iniquity from rooting in our hearts, let’s look in Proverbs 16:6, which says: By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. Mercy and Truth, who is Jesus Christ, purged, atoned for, the iniquity of mankind. He is the mercy seat for us seated at the right hand of the Father, ever living to make intersession for us. He is the way, the truth and the life.
- Glory be to God!
